It comes to my attention , that the most visited blogs on the internet , are all about Warez , or Illegal movies , mp3's or software's. However you people never really got the idea of what GNU , and Open Source means. No no no , not those "freeware" software's that are full of adds , and Trojans , or viruses ... no , those aren't really "free" as they claim it is. They usually earn revenue each time you install it ... most of those programs come's with a nice "toolbar" which also generates revenue to them. This isn't bad , because after all you are supporting the creators , however they definitely should not claim their work "free" when it is not. This is why , Open Source came alive a few years ago. Open Source allows anyone to modify a creation as they please , and redistribute it as another FREE software. Remember , it must stay FREE , otherwise you ruin all the fun. Now where you can get those "Open Source" software's to play around with them , or just use them ... there are a couple of site serving them , however the most popular , and mostly used is SourceForge. Yes ... the site you always see when you are download VLC Media player , and some other stuff. You should definitely go and take a look at http://www.sourceforge.com - they have a nice search engine built in , and thousands , or perhaps millions of open source awesome software's.
